If your mind is closed, nothing will get in

Hey everyone,

I feel happy. I feel healthy. I feel terrific! If you can say the same I suggest you do.

This week we say goodbye to John Kronus of the Eliminators fame. Sabu and I wrestled him and Perry Saturn many, many times and he was a great athlete.

Unfortunately, he's now one more to add to the list. I spoke to a couple of my friends in the business about the subject of wrestlers dying so young, and will have it, along with many other conversations available for you to check out soon.

So, Showtime has a great show called "In Pot We Trust" playing if you catch it. I highly recommend it for the education. I have such a hard time understanding how programs like this can play on Showtime, HBO, the History Channel, CNN, A&E, etc. and still, people have no idea about the truths to marijuana. People should know certain facts, such as:

While the Institute of Medicine (and anyone with common sense)knows it is a fact that cannabis consists of medicinal properties that can alleviate pain, nausea and pressure and many, many other symptoms for those in need, the Federal Government denies there's any truth to this. Even though 12 states have agreed otherwise and recommend it's usage, and even though the Feds themselves give it to 5 patients for medicine because it works for them…they continue to arrest, and sometimes kill people to protect a law that was created with lies and propaganda.

I urge anyone to look up the first ruling in 1937 that outlawed marijuana based on stories that it caused violence, promiscuity and it's inevitable lead to insanity. While you're researching credible sources, like medical journals, try to find one case of a lethal disease from smoking cannabis. One case-that's all. When you see that no one has ever gotten cancer of the lungs, lips, tongue, throat or even overdosed on mj, how can that not make you wonder if tobacco smokers who look down on pot smokers as if they're the destructive ones, got it right? Tobacco is dropping one out of every 6 of us!!! This isn't about getting stoned; it's common sense coming at you. Run away from it like most, or fucking think about it for a second.

I do not think kids should consume cannabis (although if they're sick after chemo-therapy treatments, their parents sure as hell should consider it!), as their brains and their drives are still developing. If I had a child, I wouldn't try to fool him or her by lying and saying that people who smoke pot are bad people. That would take away any parent's credibility eventually. Maybe you want to tell them that when you drive above the speed limit you are a bad person too. They might want to know which is more deadly. You might want to be ready. The belief that we should outlaw this weed because kids can get it makes as much sense to me as this next statement. Ready?

Kids can put their eyes out with scissors so we should outlaw scissors. Smart.

How about putting some responsibility on Mom and Dad?

Is the medicinal argument just a stepping-stone to get recreational use legalized? I split the argument into three categories: medicinal, recreational and material. Here's the thing you would discover if you cared enough about our planet and our well being, as well as our human birth rights.

In medicinal, recreational and material categories—CANNABIS IS SUPERIOR TO ALTERNATIVES IN ALL THREE CATEGORIES!!!!!!

I speak the truth, folks, even if you don't want to hear it. It's unorthodox to really look at who's the good guys here and who's the bad guys, but we have to do it.

My good friend Justin McCully is getting ready for his upcoming UFC fight in September. I got to roll around with him on the mat the other day and hope to do more so in the next few weeks. After all, I do have some free time!

The one thing I grow tired of with the UFC is the pre-fight promos where each fighter promises he will annihilate his opponent. Really? And if it doesn't go that way (because one of you is probably wrong), should we believe you next time too? And the next? I prefer the honest approach. We all know their hopes for the fight, why try to convince us they're tough guys before the fight we're going to watch anyway? Let's play back the promos to the losers and see how they feel about their statements. Just a thought. You know I've always avoided the intimidating approach before a match. I've always said "Allow my actions to speak for themselves." I know it's all about making money, but you can't tell me that after seeing a lot of trash talking, when you're really pumped to see a fight, you feel jipped watching them hug afterwards, right? Is it just me?

I just realized how much I love Talk Soup, or as it's called now…The Soup. It makes me laugh and laughing is underrated my friends.

I'll be at the San Diego Comic Con on Saturday the 28th. Look for me upstairs this year. I must have moved up to the Super Star level with the Cons! I'm not looking to do interviews, so hopefully I'm saving us both time right here. You may have heard a few words from me lately on the radio shows or even U.K. site interviews, but I'm being very selective, and reaching beyond the wrestling fan audience. You fans know that this site is the only place to get the real information straight from me. What's that? You don't think I spend enough time here on the site for ya? Good times are ahead my friend. Just you wait…

Until then, keep breathing.

RVD

Yeah there are so many people who do not respect the true power of cannabis. Really if any studyer ever had the balls to do tests and prove by the way that cannabis actually helps more than hurts, which also by the way doesn't hurt the human body at all, the world would be a much better place. Sadly with the lies that people have been feeding to other people that will probably never happen. But hey when you think about it, more pot for us. ROCK ON!!!! Keep kicking it RVD, and keep smoking it.

Kudos to you awesome blog. Smoking weed helps my asthma and smoking cigarettes harms my lungs. I agree with you and all those other people who want to diss marijuana without knowing the facts needs to do the math. When a person has to have chemo-therapy it is usually because of cigarette smoking. When a person needs relief from the chemo-therapy....ahem...what do they usually do SMOKE WEED!! Hello I rest my case!!

Hope to see you back in the ring soon!
Lots of R & R!
If you go to TNA my site will follow and you will always be an ECW ORIGINAL and no one can take that fact away!! You RVD are #1!!

Hi Rob, even though you said you feel great by reading the rest of your letter here it really looks like your in good humor.

I as your faithful fan feel really happy for you and even more curious about this happiness you seem to have of the ring. I know being of the ring and with your wife and having more time off helps ,but we all know there's more to it.

About the pre fight promo well that's happens always even in boxing. And even if they don't say anything before they still talk trash afterwards making excuses for there lost.

Anyway Rob i always enjoyed wrestling probally more then any other sport for a longer period of time. In wrestling who ever i liked or fans liked, you usually knew he would soon be push to be champion. That was the good all days.Because in every sports i seen lousy finishes. Ummpires calling ball and strikes sometimes the ball is a strike in a certain spot sometimes it's ball.then you got different kind of umpires with different definition of strikes then the next year they change the strike zone.Basketball sometimes a Ref calls a foul on a play sometimes in an exact play they don't.I even seen replay showing the ball was good ,but still the decision stands final. If your in a playoff game they expand the time of the clock and make it run even slower at the end.If the ball is good for a win they won't change the decision.trying to get more ratings. In wrestling it seemed to be better ,but now they even try stick a guy through the fans throat. I guess if they show enough videos of a guy and show how funny he used to be. Many fans buy in to it. I always which they showed highlights of you and all you greater stuff so the world could know how bad you really been.not just your fans that buy your DVD's. So finding something to be entertain could be a little hard especially if been used to something for many years. I'm sure glad your not in UFC those people get hit hard in the head and you wouldn't want to see them like Muhamad Ali.I really didn't like when you were lauch to a chair in the ring corner. I know you could take punishment, but when you get to many especially with out a good healing it could really be damaging to your health. In boxing a boxer could withstand punches ,but while they keep acumilating the next one doesn't has to be the hardest or in the right spot but could be when the body can't take anymore. Just could you could take a punch doesn't meen you should keep letting them hit you. Bret Hart got a cuncussing by goldberg , but probally if he got the same hit 5 or 10 years before he wouldn't have gotten that cuncussion. So i really suggest and (excuse my writing for any mistakes)that if you ever return don't have to many hardcore matches in a row, like you were having in ECW.you don't need too to entertain us ,you got more than enough moves. Well Rob,that's it. Happy your happy till next time your buddy (from cable guy ,jim carrey)and probally your biggest fan J.L-T.V. Sayonara Rob.

Wow dude, you seem to swear a lot, but I don't mind. I didn't know cannabis was used medicinally. Heck, I thought it was WORSE than tobacco. I now see the truth, but that doesn't mean I'm going to go to the Netherlands and buy some cannabis from the cafes. I hope you come back, as well as Sabu.
Anyway how come Benoit has been erased from the WWE site????? Is it because he's a so-called murderer?

Dude just keep on rocking and I hope to see some more entries in this awesome blog.

You should do whatever feels right. If you want to go to TNA you should, but I think if you do ECW will be ruined. If I were you I would tell the wwe that ethier I win the ecw championship or I go to TNA. TNA is turning popular so that's not a bad thing if wwe refuses your offer. If you go to TNA you would be a contender, but with the wwe your a injured nobody. But if you tell them that they will reconsider. If they don't TNA will treat you like they did Kurt Angle. Trust me! I know!

...you may find this interesting, as you've been discussing the way that society chastizes pot smokers.
I, for one, am not a pot smoker. I can de-stem it, de-seed it, roll it and sell it and used to be pretty adept at growing it, but I have absolutely zero interest in smoking it. I DO, however, find it ironic that we are one of nations of the world arrogant and uneducated enough to have outlawed a plant.
In short, I am not a "pothead", but I was raised by two people who were.
My mother had Crohn's disease, which to those who don't know, is a chronic inflammation of the intestines and colon and stomach and results in long-term, intense pain and an inability to digest properly. She was always particulary affinative towards marijuana, but when the Crohn's got to its worst point and she weighed 86 pounds, it was the only thing that numbed the pain and gave her an appetite. Being of the trailor-park demographic of South Alabama, we couldn't concievably afford the healthcare that the hospitals were recommending.
Funny how they'll prescribe you chemicals that do the EXACT SAME THINGS as THC, but with the added benefit of being A/ taxable and B/ dependancy forming in order to recover from a sickness.
Her ex-husband, my former stepfather, was the kind of pot smoker who only got docile and sleepy half the time and ragingly paranoid and increasingly violent for the other. Lacing could have been at work, I don't know, all I know is that it contributed to my views against marijuana (at the time) that resulted in a lot of strife between me and my mother when I became a teenager and realized that what she was doing was in direct conflict of what every teacher, every DARE officer, and every public figure speaking to my demographic told me was very, very bad and immoral.
As I got older, things came more into perspective, but for the years I berrated her and judged her for doing something that aided her in dealing with a lifelong disease I have a hard time forgiving myself. When you're raised in the public school system, which makes sure that by fifth grade you associate drug addicts and pot smokers into the same, morally-skewed and "bad person" catagory, you hear it enough that it gets engrained pretty fast.
FYI, my mother, a long time "pot-addict", died when I was sixteen as a result of an overdose on doctor-prescribed methadone, a PHARMACEUTICAL. Funny how that worked out.
In short, people need to learn that the world is not black and white, cut and dry. Smoking a joint does not make you "lazy", nor does it make you a slacker, an addict, or a low-life. And all this is coming from someone who may as well be straight-edge for my disinvolvement with drugs and alcohol.
I made my choices of how to live my life, and I sure as hell have no intentions of looking down on others for the way they choose to live theirs.
Furthermore, I have no intention of aiding an already corrupt government in criminalizing something just because they haven't figure out how to tax it yet.

I think that the government HAS to have control of our lives. It gives them power, it makes them know that they are still on top. Then they give out things like alchol and smokes to people like candy. The couple of things that DO kill people. But then again thats sending in money too. So its just a nice big system that loves to screw us around and profit themselves. And people wonder why everyone in the world today is rather depressed or crazy.....lol, I guess giving out pills like paxil helps us out more than marijuana, right?? Lets do that study. lol

And you, all cool, go "Allright" "What?" "Well, I guess I'll just beat him again, like I did last time, right?"

Hey RVD:

Thanks for pointing out the stupidity of UFC fighters in the pre-fight interviews with both fighters claiming they will annihilate their opponent. I know they’re just doing what they’re told, but the UFC formula is getting kind of stale. It’s not just the pre-fight interviews that are kind of repetitive. It could be that I’ve been watching UFC for close to ten years, but there are some aspects about it which could use some freshening up.

1. Mike Goldberg

How does Mike Goldberg still have a job? He may be the worst announcer in any professional sport. He’s been calling UFC matches for years yet he still seems to be clueless about MMA. Plus he talks about all the “love and affection” between MMA fighters. Besides the fact that he comes across making the fighters sound like total queers, why should there be any friendship between opponents? I don’t pay 40 bucks to see how good their friendship is.

2. Production

UFC does a terrible job producing their shows. They’ll have fighters talking over announcers, announcers talking over Joe Rogan doing the post fight interviews, and they’ll show camera shots of “celebrities” seeming like they have no desire to be there (Stefi Graf).

3. Value

There are few instances where I feel as though I get my money’s worth out of a UFC PPV. Two out of every three UFC events are weak and not deserving of the money they demand. The scary thing is that I’m only talking about the 40 dollar charge for a Pay Per View; I feel really sorry for the people that pay hundreds of dollars to see it live. Why is that WWE PPVs are cheaper, yet it seems as though the McMahon’s sink more money into their events? It just seems like the Fertitta’s don’t give a crap about their fans.
I hope it doesn’t seem like I am bashing the fighters, because that’s not the case. The fighters are the only reason I still watch UFC. I just wish the management in Zuffa would stop being so lazy and put some sizzle into their shows like the WWE and NFL, instead of just relying on the same tired marketing techniques that they have used for years.

Hi Rob,

Enjoyed your post. I'm glad I live here in Nova Scotia; like the rest of Canada, medical marijuana can be prescribed by a doctor. I mean, hell, if it helps, why not? We still give morphine, a terribly addictive substance and dangerous, to patients who need it for the pain. Why not pot? Smoking a doob for one's pain sure as hell isn't going to wreck a person like morphine or some of the synthetic THC pills that have popped up recently.

Obviously, a big part of it is the liquor/tobacco industries. Those are the two legal ones, and they have both the money and influence to lean on politicians. If weed were legal, I don't doubt they'd take a big hit to their own sales. I mean, if you had a choice between weed and tobacco, who'd ever take tobacco? A terrible, stupid habit it is, and one in which I myself indulge. Ugh.

You ever think about getting involved in a group like NORML? Such a group always needs known faces. I mean, Christ, with all the bad drugs in sports these days, people might like to hear from one who enjoys a relativly harmless drug like the herb.

Yo Rob, I wonder if you actually read our damn responses. I'm glad you're feeling damn fine, but have you really left the WWE? I mean, I thought you were just taking a break due to a "concussion" which I know for a fact is a load of fucking shit.
I am a fan of the WWE, and have only just started watching at the start of the year. You were always the best and I hate what the WWE has done to ECW with the hour long show, and all the crap "superstars" who are no more than jobbers to a bunch of washed-up dregs.

Anyway, hope you are either moved to RAW, or the WWE fix up ECW and you get the world title!

There's a drug called Marinol which is reserved for cancer patients that is either a synthetic form of grass or grass without the THC. When my mother was dying from cancer she was given Marinol and nothing really happened but when I gave her a few joints she ate normally, was able to do things for herself, and was quite lucid. The doctors suggested that she stop smoking the joints and put her on Prenisone, which made her gain weight but didn't help her appetite. Less than two weeks after she quit smoking pot she was admitted into a Hospice and died two days later. I personally watched the benefits of pot on a cancer patient and the only reason I can think of as to why it's illegal is because it's not profitable for doctors and pharmaceutical companies. You can't patent cannabis the same way you can Paxil or Zoloft. These bastards would put a patent on carrots if they could, just so they can give you a patented version of beta carotene.

Richard Nixon commissioned a report on marijuana in the early 1970's, which he dismissed after the study found that marijuana has no side effects. Then again, Nixon also named Elvis Presley as youth-drug liaison. So not only was Nixon a paranoid saboteur but he was also stubborn and stupid enough to put one of the biggest pill heads in the known universe in charge of drugs. That seems a little like putting Lou Reed in charge of a bottle of hydrocodone.

What seems like a logical reason as to why cannabis is illegal is that it would hurt a plethora of industries, such as the cotton, paper, textile, fuel, plastic, and drug industries. You can make just about anything out of hemp and why would companies want to spend billions of dollars to upgrade their technologies just to market products that anybody can make. Hemp can grow naturally in all 50 U.S. states and it's one of the only crops in the world that doesn't have negative effects on the soil it's planted in.

Sorry guys. I am a pharmacist. I know all about the medicinal properties of cannabis - and I know all about the downside of it as well.At least you haven't trotted out the old adage that cannabis is no more dangerous than alcohol. The trouble is alcohol is the acceptable drug - and everyone forgets it IS a drug. If you want to know about the downside of alcohol, ask Vicky Guerrero!

I sympathize with those who have a genuine medical need for cannabis and cannot get it legally. Using cannabis when you DON'T have a medical need for it is plain daft.Using ANY drug when you don't need it is plain daft - and I include simple Acetaminophen and Iuprofen in that statement.

Although Sally may be a pharmacist that doesn't mean she knows all. If marijuana is used and not abused is is not as bad as she is trying to relay to people. The same with alcohol. A couple hits off a joint is by far safer than a couple shots of rum. Apparently she has never smoked weed and is close minded. Calling people who smoke a little weed DAFT is wrong and very judgemental. Marijuana is an all natural herbal suppliment and has also in studies been proven to strengthen peoples intelligence within one hour of smoking. Maybe she needs a little buzz. Because it is obvious her intelligence is being challenged!! :D! STAY HIGH ROB!!:D!!

I completely 100% agree about the comments RVD makes about Cannabis. The hypocracy and the govt money (YES, your tax dollars to the tune of millions) spent spreading propaganda on down right lies is appalling. Cannabis is all natural and SHOULD be used prior to even considering using any UNnatural drug. Besided the OBVIOUS medical uses for cannabis, the other uses with it are seemingly endless. From textiles to clothing and possibly even bio-fuel the benifical uses of cannabis simply cannot be overlooked. Thanks RVD for always keeping it real and thanks for fighting the good fight. We certainly do need more champions out there that we can look up to. And of course,

RVD-san -

Welcome back to stateside. Hope that you have fun at the convention. Are you only going to attend for one day? Wow. That's going to be a busy day. San D is supposed to be one of the better conventions nationwide. Attracts a lot of talent from Japan, I've heard. One day I'll have to see for myself.

I admire your courage for addressing the cannabis issue but will have to do a LOT more research before I settle on an opinion. (Wikipedia to the rescue, again.) Although it wouldn't surprise me if the feds were clinging to some outdated law on the basis of greed and/or sheer idiocy.

Meh. Trash talking is part of the script, I suppose. Just another way to stall the actual fight. Maybe one day the UFC company will realize that trash talking is NOT a necessary part of good competition. Or maybe they're training their people for future careers in politics. Who knows.

Look forward to hearing more from you, RVD-san. Though I'd settle for just being able to hear the BBC interview. RealPlayer crashed the computer, Real Alternative claims the files are corrupt and Windows Media Player refuses to recognize the file format. Even went over to zamzar.com to try and get the files converted to mp3 format - no luck there either. Kept encountering errors. Probably is just the computer I use. Guess I'll have to wait for a transcript. *shrugs*

Please take care!

Hi RVD! It's such a very long time, and I'm so glad that you feel those first three ways.
But sad to say I do not agree "a little" on your MJ update. No offense meant huh, but there are also bodies that do not stand the effect of Marijuana when they take it. Can I just ask what were the first trippings that happened to you when you took it in?

But you're right, kids should not try it. But taking it for no other reasons is another story.

You've always been defended from being called a POTTER, Mr. Van Dam, but all my life I've never asked myself, what was your reason behind using it. Aside from medical, aside from 'It's-good-for-their-health' thing (or is it really it?)... How does it benefit you?

If you could give me a reasonable answer out of this...
I might fall on another deep state of researching.

But anyway, it's not always against you.
Thanks for your time, and I hope you'll say something 'brief' that would make me understand it.

If that doesn't work, do a search on Yahoo! News for the article - One cannabis joint as bad as five cigarettes: study.

Now this one is to Stacy...
That article is a lie. I smoked cigarettes for 25 years and as a result I have ASTHMA and There are 3 things that rescue my lungs, when my asthma flares up.

#1. Smoking Marijuana. Coughing frees up my lungs, so I can breathe again. Marijuana acts as an expectorant and makes me cough. It NEVER ever makes it worse.

#2. My Rescue Inhaler. Because that is the old stand by doctors perscribe. It also acts as an expectorant and makes me cough.

#3. Caffiene. It calms my lungs and makes it so I can breathe again.

Now, as for which works the best. They are listed in order. I also spoke with my doctor and he said if I have the sources, by all means do so.

When RVD stated "If your mind is closed, nothing will get in" He was being very serious and to all the close minded people who diss marijuana. You really need a BUZZ!! 420!! That will clear the SHIT out that is blocking your intelligence.

dude,

i'm new to the site and just read your entire blog. you have alot of interesting things to say and i'm really happy that wrestling had/has? someone like you who practices alot of good will outside the ring.
it also joys me to see what you had to say about the benoit tragedy, i agree with what you had to say. i watched the raw broadcast with the testomonials and cried myself from hearing about what kind of a light he was in the locker room.

keep doing what you do.

sean.

ps. i saw in the profile that your favorite band is kottonmouth kings, i HIGHLY suggest Bongzilla and also an older band called Sleep

Hi Rob, got to say i loved your kabc interview. Some great information you shared and many things i wanted to know about the things you felt about the business and more.I'm very glad you have your mind open to many things.I really wished i could haved been able to ask you a question and i also notice that when you were being called for the interview that they used at the beginning of the song the part that i most like that isn't shown during your WWE entrance theme in which i wrote here that i would like you to enter with. I don't know if it was a coincidence ,but i sure liked that they used it. Also the guy said he really liked it.I saved the kabc interview so if you liked to remember what part it is just listen to the beginning of it.Anyway about question that i would like you to answer one day is Do you believe that certain wrestlers put them selves in position to be champion or be over with the fans. For example I believe that HHH had a feud with Randy Orton and had him become champion just to then have himself beat him and become champion himself.I also notice that Evolution was a ripoff of the 4 horseman. For example they would dress casual in suits to the ring Triple H had his mustached shaved also and of course when you have a group you put your self in position to win even by cheating cause you get you friends help you out. There was a summerslam with the elimination chamber in which you faced kane that night.anyway Goldberg had all the ofense, the lousy HHH barely wrestler and got the win with flair help. What turned a great Paperview to a peace of sht. Also the story evolution used of Randy Orton being taking out of the evolution for going for the WWE champion ship and becoming champion was similar to sting wanting to go for the World title when he was with the 4 horseman and then wrestling the leader of the four horseman Ric Flair. So what i'm getting at is a guy setting up himself out to be champ.I also believed he use DX just to be over again with the fans as well as before going against Cena who was getting booed in favor of Edge so it was a way to be over with the fans and then look to be champ. I also thing they brought in Booker T just to have the king story with him. I believe that Batista has been kept in SamckDown just to have him be Champion without disturbing his HHH title reigns and Batista not to figure out how he manipulates the business.they probally had second thoughts of making Kennedy a face and being champion at Wrestlemania.I believe this has to do alot with Batista wanting the spot and if he felt he wasn't going to be the man he be wanting to go to Raw. I don't know you might thing i have alot of imagination or believe i'm a bit or alot of course. When i see guys like Jeff Hardy or Carlito that are or were over with the fans i see them in you. Guys who are over with fans and great wrestlers being kept winning tag titles or I.C championships. It's O.k in the beginnig ,but you were held from the World Title for too long.Carlito was over then they made the silly angles with Torrie making him seem soft.guys don't like those angles he only would get boo for while.I believe they put wrestlers in positon to fail.I didn't think you were going anywhere wrestling with Kane,Booker and even Mysterio as tag team champs. If ECW were on national T.V or if it was mix up some way WCW some way, someway that fans would be able to have seen you when you were being pushed by Paul Heyman and not Vince. You would haved been over and famous at that time world wide.when you camed 1st to WWF in your 1st stint in which you left quickly. You had many fans wanting more of you. I mean i always supported WWF even though it was becoming lame.I was seeing prospects like Salvatore Sencere,Skinner,Hopper, The Goon.even vince trying to bring in Mexican Talent to help his show compete vs WCW. They asked why Vince was helping ECW back then. I know the answer since back then. His Show sucked and lacked talent.Vince was always O.K when he let the older talent leave ,like Hall,Nash and before Hogan ,Savage and finally he left Bret go just to save himself the money to be able to built younger talent.but he never left the biggest stars that were younger at the time like Taker and HBK.But he lies when he says he didn't know why he had the ECW wrestlers in his Show. When you camed i said at last a great superstar ,but you left like after 3 weeks.Changing the subject i really can't wait for tou to be back in the Ring and it seems like you'll have at least 6 months of . why i can't wait on your return? The hype of your comeback. I just hoped if they promise you something you recieve it. Question is can you trust them? Is there a way that you could have guaranteed world titles, but even if they ever did that that doesn't meen they will put you over like you should be.Over evreyone, because anyway that's where you should be because nobody get 's hire than R.V.D. Again i'm mean that like when you do your Frog Splash.Nothing about M.J. I never used it never will unless ineed it for medical reasons. Thing is that everyone who uses it in apoint or another get's carried away.Because the majority of people can't control themselfs. One in life has to learn to be discipline and admit to be wrong and be willing to listen and change. people should listen to others like they should do with there wifes. i see alot of people that don't want to be disciplined people who thing that there always right.and when you thing you could do what ever you feel like that's when things get bad.Adam and Eve had evreything and they failed the very day they decided for themselves what was right and what was wrong.people should reexamine themselves and reconized there no better than anyone else ,but they don't have to be less.Well R.V.D i hope you don't get me wrong and this isn't going against you it's just something that came up.again i love the hour interview it was good to know from you.It was as good or better than an update hear from you. Thanks for it. From probally you biggest fan J.L.-T.V. Take care Roberto, Adios amigo.

Nihao RVD-san,

Thanks for sharing the KABC interview. The computer had no problems with that one.

Was a bit disappointed with the radio hosts. I understand that they were just kidding around and that comedy requires the existence of stereotypes... But RVD-san, you're so far removed from any stereotype... That whole silly 'hide from the dangerous wrestler' thing, I wish they would have just dropped it. One joke might have been okay but after that it seemed a bit disrespectful. Of course, maybe that was what the radio hosts were going for. I don't know.

Anyway. Weird that the one gentleman felt 'graceful' might be insulting. Kind of strange as well, the way he kept stammering over the word 'former' when introducing you by profession. Hard not to notice that. Maybe you did make them nervous.

Basically, you seemed better prepared for the interview than the hosts were. You also seemed to be the better listener, wish they hadn't cut you off and changed subjects quite as much. Overall it was...erm...nice...but... There were moments, RVD-san, where you were kinda ignored. Was left with the distinct impression that there was a lot more that you might have been wanting to talk about - questions you were hoping for, perhaps, but didn't get.

Good thing you have a blog then, yea?

The wwe, with all due respect, does seem to cast a long shadow over its former employees. I'm glad to know that you're one of the handful whose future should be bright enough for a breakthrough. Watch out for the self-criticism and remind yourself that the 'former' schedule is an old habit. It's a gradual adjustment, to find new routines. With as long as you've been on the worlds most hectic schedule... A week or so in one place is an accomplishment to take pride in. Enjoy.

I agree with the notion that life does offer us answers, if we're able to stay receptive. Thanks for the wording of that. I like 'answers' better than 'coincidences'. Being the sort of person who is inclined to think that everything happens for a reason... I'm not entirely sure I believe in coincidence anymore.

Happy August. Hope the San D comic con was good to you. Hope that one of your secret plans involves launching your online shop. Thanks for staying in touch with the fans. Hugs to Mrs. RVD-san, for her patience with all of us. Please keep taking care.

Peace.

~CalmMountain

hi Rob, wanted to say that Andrew Martin formaly Test now the Punisher joined TNA Wrestling.I remmember when he was returning to WWE and going to ECW how happy he was. I also remmember he metioning you and said good things about you i can't remmeber now,but i saved it i think. Anyway the guy is in TNA and looks to be happy about it. i remmember him when he had his long hair that he he looked like a guy to be big in the wrestling business he was in a story as Stephanie Girl friend and all of a suton HHH took his spot and out he went. He had a good look, big strong pretty good wrestler that had great matches with you in ECW,he had a great match with shane McMahon (shane Omac) and had a good match with Brock Lesnar at the King od the Ring before Brock faced you.so i'm very Happy TNA exist and wish that they take care of there talent and capatilize on guys like Test the way WWE capatilized on Steve Austin and Mick Foley. I believe they need someone to act like Vince McMahon as a Heel owner or a top Caliber Heel, but not like Jeff Jarret.everyone that got a feud with Vince helped there Popularity. Cause it work on austin Triple H later tried the same.i repeat this again stephanie McMahon started saying she liked HHH becuase he stand up to her father. thing is Stve Austin already did that.why didn't she fall for Austin. They had there romance that started the politics that helped the King of Pigs. The Shame.Vince Boy and biggest ass kisser.Anyway they HHH and HBK all had feud with Vince and if you have a feud with him that makes you head line. not even Cena had a feud with Vince it was Bischoff.Anyway i forgot again what i was talking about. Thing is i really wished TNA gets more help finacially i heard Hogan said they had money, but still i wished now they had Ted Turner so guys wouldn't leave that easily and more guys would signed with TNA. Because at least for now there's lest politics and there are many wrestlers looking for a break. well Rob that's it Buddy,Pal ,Amigo. still tuning in to hear your future plans wish to hear from you before i move.Anyway 'see yah around" From probally your biggest fan J.L.-T.V. Take care all ways, bye.

See, the thing that sucks about the whole 4:20 thing is getting busted. When you got busted, it occured to me - man, it's not worth it. If they'd lock up RVD and Sabu, what's gonna happen to me? I freaked and I totally quit. So, I check out your blog all the time and you're like cannabis that and cannabis that. I was getting kind of bored and I was like who cares. Well, today is the first day it was 4:20 in over a year. Damn, I just realized that I've been pissed off for over a year! A fuckin year! I agree with you, this is very important. I am totally for making Cannabis legal. What's the government so afraid of? Making people happy? Shit, let's picket, petition - do whatever we gotta do!

Anyway, we all miss you, and you deserve the time off. Nobody could ever say you didn't earn it, but please come back soon. Wrestling needs you. ECW, TNA - whatever. The same goes for Sabu..............Island
