Atlanta Women...

Finally, I have a minute to write an update. We have been on the go for…as long as I can remember, actually. Anyway, I'm still catching up from the Mexico trip and this last trip to Europe was ALL travel. We had some great turnouts everywhere from Italy to London. It's always awesome to see the support from other countries who watch the television shows every week.

Quick turn around and then I went to Atlanta to start the week.

Atlanta made news recently when members of a Georgia narcotics investigation team shot and killed 92-year-old Kathryn Johnston during a drug raid in her Atlanta home November 21, 2006.

A search warrant stating crack cocaine was being sold in her apartment allowed the officers to cut through the burglar bars protecting Johnston's home and burst through her door without identifying themselves.

Johnston, who lived alone, apparently mistook the plainclothes officers for intruders and, according to the prosecutor trying the officers, fired one shot through the door and hit nothing. The police responded, firing 39 shots, killing Johnston and apparently wounding three of their own.

Investigators did not find any crack cocaine or any evidence that drugs were being sold in the apartment. In an apparent attempt to fabricate a cover story, one of the officers, J.R. Smith, planted three bags of marijuana in the home, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Yonette Sam-Buchanan.

It's amazing what extents they'll go to, to protect a crazy law. If you want to know more about Kathryn's situation or learn about other victims, check out MPP.org.

When I get home, I catch up on my tivo before I pass out from the travel. Too bad they don't run out here on the West Coast very often. Here's what gets watched in order. Heroes, Medium. Entourage, Sopranos and until Dexter or Dirt come back it'll probably stay that way. There's a bunch more, but dude, quit being so invasive! Kidding.

All right. Time to fly again. New York, three hours ahead, afternoon show means I get to leave Friday night for it. Yay.

It better be warm.

Go see Spiderman 3 and we'll meet back here next week.
Late.

Mr. Van Dam,

Great blog...you're an awesome athlete and spectacular wrestler.

I recently heard some speculation (Edmonton Journal) that you will be leaving the WWE/ECW at the end of the month when your contract expires...

Care to comment?

Rob Van Dam- I have a question for you? Is your name Trademark by you or the WWE? I am curious because if you do possibly leave will you take your name with you or would you have to come up with a new name and reinvent yourself like Team 3D(those damn Dudleyz)did?

Hey,

I'm glad to hear from you again. I hope things in New York are good. I can't wait till Tuesday to see you and McMahon get it on.

I can't belive what happended to the 92 yr in the story that you posted which is sad and if I was one of the family members I would sue the police department. Hell, anyone can mistake any of these people as intruders at least they could have went to the door and showed some credentials. I'd be scared to death and probobly do the same thing that the 92yr did.

I just makes me sick to see the police go to this extreme and when an officer "planted" marijuana in the home. I have no problems with law enforcement and I have never been in any trouble but this scares me as a citizen. Heck, if a police office does not like you and decides to "plat" something in your house hell "your screwed". We had a situation in my town a few weeks ago when a police officer raped 3 women under the age of 18. You can't even trust police officers anymore.

I saw Spiderman 3 and it was very good. Not to give away anything about the movie but it was a bit darker and diffrent from the 1st and 2nd movie but it is worth the money to check out or even see twice. "in my opinon"

Have a good a safe week.

spider-man 3 totally rocked!! I saw it twice the 1st week-end. It is a bit darker, but, that's what made it so cool!!

I hope you don't leave the wwe, but, with the way they are handling the new ecw I really wouldn't blame you!! You are my favorite wrestler, and I would no longer wish to watch the show anymore!!

Do you care to comment on whether you are leaving??

Love you lots!!

RVD please do not leave. Without you ECW is nothing. Make em pay you whatever you want. You still have unfinished business with Mr. McMahon. Lashley who??

No matter what they do to you even the Chairman heard the chants last night and every night. He knows you are money. Get yours and continue to kick ass in WWE!!!

Hi Robert Szatkowski . I hope you don't mind calling you by you're real name ,but i wanted to salute you at least once using you're real name, it kind of makes me feel more like a close friend , I really have to say this but i already wrote you and when i press send i notice my connection had gone down it seems it happens to me every time i write to you. Anyway let me resume. I hope you have a great future where ever you're future might be in the WWE, TNA or just at home. I'm really looking foward to seeing you in TNA if that's where you indeed end up. I hate WWE pushing lashley instead of you , they made him champ at the Elimination chamber ,taking you're place like if you already havn't been held long enough. I don't care what excuse they have for it . Now Vince is trying to save ECW by being on it with Shane and Umaga. He's just scare to loose the Sci-fi timeslot and have to release the ECW stars or send them to Smackdown or Raw. you know he needs space for the egos of HBK & Triple H.The old "Hage" outlaws. By the way you ever believe they'll be traded or sent to Smackdown or ECW and stay there 2 or 3 years? Rob, i believe you will love TNA it has an Old ECW type atmosphere where the fans truly apreciate a wretling match , I know i wan't you to be champ there ,but i wouldn't mind seeing one more RVD Jerry Lynn saga match it'll be like spiderman 3, thats seems keep getting better and better . I don't wan't to be to excited, but i got to say i really have my hopes up for this happening , beacause in WWE they have already shown thay don't care about you or don't know how to use you're talent. Triple H sucked especially in the beginning of his career like now but, they kept making him win so fans saw him like winnner , all they do with you is push you down. There are many guys that were bigger in WCW or ECW and were held back. I would have liked for Sabu to have been in WWE at a younger age because many new fans see him like this old dude instead of a legend. If HBK would have debut in WWE at his age now he would have never been this much popular. Now it seems he doesn't want to be a heel or a bad guy ,so he doesn't loose his popularity. It seems that everyone who has a long rivalry with Vince McMahon gets more popular cause of it. Too bad you didn't get one like that with him. I say Politics. Thank,s Rob for reading probally you're biggest fan J.L-T.V. till next time gadget next time. Bye,Rob

But you're so smart and influential that even narrow-minded persons can agree with you. Good job, RVD!!!

RVD i am from belgium sorry but my english is bad, i'm your big fan, you are the best in the business today, i want to know if the internet rumors about you quit the WWE/ECW for TNA are true or not
please, stay in the WWE/ECW, you are the soul and the leader of the ECW, the fans need you, i think WWE is the best company, TNA is not bad, but she's a small company and she's don't compete on the same level, it's my vue.
one more time you are the best and don't leave.

That's horrible what happened to the 92 yr old lady. It's amazing how corrupt the legal system is becoming and how dumbass cops will go to the lengths just to make themselves look good.

Spiderman 3 was amazingly excellent! You're my favorite wrestler ever and always will be!

Hi RVD, I heard about Sabu getting released by WWE. In a way I was sad when I first heard about this, but I was also happy for Sabu because I know he didn't like working there.

The biggest talk going around on the web is that you won't be resigning with WWE. You're the only person who knows for sure what you are going to do and I think you should do whatever your heart tells you.

I just wanted to let you know that I and the rest of your true fans will always respect and support you know matter what decision you make.

Hey Rob.

I just wanted to say that I am greatly sadened by the release of Sabu. Every time I see him preform, its like poetry in motion(pardon the cliche).

Perhaps it's for the better however. The WWE didn't seem as interested in cementing Sabu's legacy, as they were in putting over talentless peons like Kevin Thorn and Matt Striker. Maybe now Sabu can go somewhere where his talent will be appreciated.

Again, watching Sabu preform is nothing short of breath taking... I just hope to god I haven't seen him preform for the last time.

Those are my thoughts, for whatever it's worth.

What's up RVD,

I'm looking forward to when you come to TNA. You can tell you are going to leave the wwe by the way they are pushing the talent around you. And trying to weaken your character in the fans eyes by putting other talent over you. I'm sure the wwe is offering you a push if you resign, but you can't trust Vince. You sign for 3-5 years and by the end of your contract your in your 40's and your prime is gone. There's nothing left to do in the wwe you've held all the major titles. Except the World Title(Triple H's ego trip belt). Everybody became an RVD fan when you were in ECW the first time, not the watered down version in wwe that has held you back for the past six years. I want to see the Rob Van Dam that showed everybody what the whole f'n show was about. Not JVD----JOB VAN DAM which is what Vince will do if you resign. Thanks for your time.

Matt

RVD,

I read today that it's all but confirmed that you're done with ECW and WWE. If this is the case, I want to be the first to thank you for the memories. I hope you enjoy some well deserved time off and get to chill out with the wife. Your in ring style is what instantly made me a fan, but the way you stay true to yourself outside the ring is what sets you apart from the other "yes-men" in the WWE. If the only way to pushes and titles is by comformity, I say let the "model employees" have them. Its just not worth compromising who you are and what you believe. The real fans will always recognize real, and that Rob...Van...Dam!!

Thanks for shedding some educated words to your awesome fan base. You don't often see a wrestler/anyone on the internet share thoughts or, in this case, incidents that should be recognized, whether it is for political reason, knowledge, or just a wake me up during the day. I remember seeing the story of Kathryn Johnston on the news when the story broke but I did not hear of the later findings that you informed in your blog. Thanks for the update and sharing genuine information. I was in the process of making a song dealing with death and other personal issues and the possibility of overcoming them. I had a verse open so I wrote about the Kathryn Johnston Tragedy. If you have a chance, swing by the web page www.myspace.com/rickerick and take a listen. Thanks for being the whole F/N show and wrestling Guilty As Charged 2001 for the fans. I just watched that again and it is still amazing to see over the years. Take it easy, my friend.

Hey RVD Im Esau I live in mexico and Im a big big fan of yours I would like to say to you what a tremendous athlete you are and that you are indeed the whole fn show.
When you came to mexico along with the superstars of smackdown and ECW I went to the event only because you were going to be there.
And I have to say that it was a great match between the ECW originals and the new breed.
That is the first time I saw you wrestle live and I have to say that it was the best experience of my life.
I hope you are okay and I would like to keep in touch with you
my e-mail is princeofmetal_4444@hotmail.com
It would be really nice if you could send me an e-mail back just to know if you read this

much respect Esau.
