Watch Heroes Monday

OJ’s gone. He is guilty. He will be locked up. I know someone deeply involved and knew he was going down since a few hours after the incident. It’s been interesting watching it unfold on the news, especially while SVD and myself were in Vegas over the weekend. Goldmans are stoked. Another criminal locked up. Prisons were made for people like OJ.

And of course, Paris (joking but not writing lol as per Californication last week).

This coming weekend, I will be at Hooters Hotel and Casino signing autographs, taking photos and impressing all the fans with my genuine coolness! Originally, I was only going to be able to make it on Friday because of plans that have changed -- to go to UFC in Anaheim. My good friend Justin McCully won’t be able to participate due to injury. No UFC, keep me in Vegas! I’ll be there Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd at Celebrity Meet and Greet. Click here for info.

Earlier on Saturday, I’ll be at the Sports Card & Collectibles Show (you guessed it, click here) from 11:00 to 1:00. Plan on making it RVD weekend and I’ll see you there.

Here’s something I read on a Marijuana Policy Project t-shirt that I liked:

“All truth passes through three stages.

First, it is ridiculed.

Second, it is violently opposed.

Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.”
- Arthur Schopenhaur

One of the projects that I have been waiting to tell people about is RVD TV. We shot it back in July and I have been anxious for it to go through the production process to the point of availability for viewing. Nearing that stage now is a project that doesn't get any closer to the heart. Nobody wrote this shit. Nobody’s agendas are involved but my own. That’s not to say Buzz Media Productions won’t be rewarded as well when RVD TV hits the streets. It’s an episodic website program that invites you into my real life. The purpose? To show the other 95 percent of me that you don't see watching me wrestle.

After watching the first four episodes, I feel that the mission to inspire and motivate in a positive way came across strong, as that is my everyday life.

Here’s what Andrew Wright, aka Docu Dude, posted in his blog about the experience of filming RVDTV.

“Since my return from RVD's LA home in late July, I have been hard at work, as always, editing the footage with my right hand man Michael "The ZOMBIE" Spatola. After two years of pitching the concept of a Hardy Show-like project to RVD, he finally showed interest around January this year. Six months later, I was on a flight to manifest yet another dream: RVD TV.

The resulting experience was nothing short of amazing.

RVD and I merged into true friends who grew to understand each other's lifestyles, mentalities, and vision for the project. He welcomed me into his home for seven days
and whirled me through an energetically-paced cavalcade of Hollywood sights, sounds, locations...and celebrity friends including Tabu (Black Eyed Peas), Cypress Hill, Chris Masters, Samoa Joe, Justin McCully, Andrew Bryniarski (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and The Reyes Brothers, all of whom contributed their time for feature filming.

The culmination of our efforts has yielded a show so good and so unlike anything else, that when RVD finally previewed our first four episodes just three days ago, he
excitedly called me to say, "Dude, I'm lovin' it!". He went on to congratulate me and the Zombie on a job well done and we toasted RVD TV together over the phone.

A quick notation on RVD: Rob is among the most unique and personally sound individuals I have ever met. His positivity, intelligence, and outlook on life and those around him are a refreshing and welcoming wave of light on a dark day. We philosophized many a night away and shared the most robust of laughs and most importantly, marvelled at the prospective success our new project would attain.

I have no doubts concerning network interest in this show. Within a few weeks, RVD TV will be making its debut at RobVanDam.com!"

On RobVanDam.com you can see the first trailer, pre-RVD approved, put together by Andrew Wright and Michael Spatola of BuzzMedia Productions. I wanted to put this up right away so everyone can get the idea. Keep in mind that this is a sneak peek. We’re still working on things, including a better logo and a kick ass website brought to us by Eric Robbins of Unkind Studios, our Chief of Web Staff. Eric made my awesome RobVanDam.com site and will no doubt keep us looking sharp.

This show contains the answers to everything I have been asked by you fans. What I’ve been doing? What are my plans? What are my workouts? What do I do in my spare time? Everything. A favorite repeating segment, that really needs to be seen, is what I call “Friends in High Places.” Here I talk to friends in the entertainment industry about thought-provoking issues like language censorship, violence in entertainment, marijuana prohibition, gun control, relationships, religion and other deep issues. This is me putting my balls on the line because that’s what I do. Anytime someone famous states whether they are for or against abortion, for example, they stand to lose 50 percent of their fans. That’s why public images let you fill in the blanks. I’m delivering the truth to you, and encouraging you to appreciate the fact that others think differently than you. We all know that I’m one of a kind. So are you. Enjoy.

More information coming soon...

I'm stoked about RVD TV. I'm looking for some words of wisdom from you, Rob. You always seem to have a positive spin on every experience, and that's what life is all about.

Hey, thought i'd drop a line from way out in Scotland, to let you know I (and i'm sure all the fans) appreciate your openness on your views, and your willingness to keep us updated on very thing r-v-d. I've always found the wrestling biz a weird one, in the way its so private and closed off. We end up idolizing dudes we have no idea about, which is a shame, since you're efforts have shown a person (not a character) that I'd love to see on the screen, as well as on here. hopefully rvd tv will satisfy that!

I also picked up the ladder match dvd today that wwe have out right now, and some of your spots in it are WICKED. Its an awesome set that highlights alot of moments that defined some wrestlers' careers, and its some of the best stuff i've ever seen, so congrats!

Jamie.

First of all I'd like to comment about truth and good role models...

We always here the almost truth...ARRRRGH we all hate that cause that is what the media gives us or else we get the stretched truth...I want to hear The Whole F'n Truth. Wow, I listened to you on the radio and the media in some of them wrestling mags they twisted and mangled what you said. It will be very refreshing to hear it straight from the "horses mouth" like you said.

Then we have the role models....That's another arrrrrgh! We always get stuck with the role models that hide the truth so kids end up nieve(spell check?). Back in the day most kids knew nothing about real life and went into it blind and then got blindsided. Yup, it happened to me spousal abuse. I knew nothing of it and for years believed it was all my fault.

Thank you for teaching us about positive and negative energies. I will never again allow myself get in such a negative state ever again. That was my fault, but, because he was abusive, that was because he had no self control. Since I have started meditating & stretching,(which I need to do more of), I have been feeling more alive and really do feel the difference between negative and positive energy. I am finding myself Healthier, Happier and feeling Terrific! I have also started answering people back with that statement when they ask how I am doing. Thanks Rob You are a GREAT role model.

Rob I am glad you are stepping up and showing what a real role model is. OOOO big deal you swear. Tell them to plug their ears to a little cuss words we hear every day anyway and open them up to the truth, the facts. Kudos to you! AWESOME blog!

Hi Rob,R.V.D.-T.V.,J.L.-T.V. sounds great to me,but really sounds like fans will be getting more from the Fn show then anticipated, sounds also for what you wrote that you be putting yourself in the line of fire so it seems you be getting plenty of controversy.Wish i know you will more then welcome.

Looking forward to know what you got to say in many different aspects,of course including wrestling. That's how we many fan's got to know you. Its great for people to stand up for there believes and show the fans what reality really is.

that's what i like about you Rob,even though we might be different, you speak from the heart and you are real to who you are.Your not like other phonies who just look to win fans even though they might not be acting like they really are.I believe in you words and that's why you have won so much respect among us your fans. Some people are real some or phony some are in between, and some are just One of a Kind. That's R.V.D.-T.V. Now Mr.T.V. for your knowledge in many shows and including those who came straight out of the comic books. From your pal J.L.-T.V. it's been a pleasure Thank You,Rob.see yah in RVD-TV.Bye.

RVD,

Thanks for the update, you are one of the few wrestlers whos absence is painfully noticable. I'm almost done with WWE altogether after the last few weeks, or actually months now. When you're good and ready, I hope I am able to see wherever you decide to make your return to. A lot of your fans out here in SoCal are hoping for maybe an indy appearance. PLEASE let us know when and where if you decide to do that. Missed you at Stone Cold's autograph signing in Anaheim yesterday. I knew it was a long shot, but I was sporting the RVD shirt and was keeping an eye out for you, just in case. One last thing, did you and Sabu really dress up as Jay and Silent Bob or is that some photoshop work? Either way, the pic is F'n hilarious, my new wallpaper for sure. RVD TV looks like the ish. I gotta chill out around Venice and LA more often, maybe I can humiliate myself on an upcoming episode.

Glad to hear you and Sonya enjoyed your trip to Vegas, I've always wanted to go there..There's probably not that many places you haven't been wrestled, but it must be nice to take your time and actually enjoy the places you go to..That marijuana policy shirt was pretty cool, if you find where it can be purchased let me know..RVD TV sounds sweet dude, I can't wait to see it! I loved the trailer, especially the parts with Joe and when you were pulled over..haha..I've been outta the UFC loop for a little while, but wish Justin a speedy recovery for me...Thanks for the update man, stay cool..

TheHardyShow and Hogan Knows Best better step back, 'cause RVDTV is in town! Can't wait to check it out, should be killer.

I like that t-shirt quote. So true. The truth is there... it's just that people choose to ignore it. Why listen to the real truth when you can create your own? Bottom line is... people are idiots. 's what I've always said.

Keep up the good work, Rob.

While it’s obvious that O.J. is insane and most likely going to be found guilty, I can’t help but think that his time in the sun took important stories and issues off the table. We had Blackwater kill a good amount of Iraqi civilians that same week and for anybody who doesn’t know about Blackwater, they’re a company that has private mercenaries in Iraq. They’re not accountable to the U.S. military and they can’t be tried in Iraq for actions such as what happened on Sunday. Dole also recalled tons of salad due to E. Coli and Iran and Israel are about to blow each other up, all stuff that wasn’t covered by the mainstream media due to O.J’s stupidity. I’m beginning to wonder if he’s just trying to see how screwed up the justice system is and try to get off again.

Another great story this week was the situation down at the University of Florida, where an unarmed student was tasered for asking John Kerry a question. I guess he took too long to ask his question and he was a little rambunctious, but it didn’t deserve being assaulted by half a dozen cops. Welcome to the new America.

I tried Heroes on DVD and just couldn’t get into it. If you haven’t check out The Watchmen yet, it’s probably the best Alan Moore comic to date, even better than V For Vendetta. I heard somewhere that some studio is going to turn Watchmen into a movie but I don’t know how they’ll pull it off without bastardizing it. It’s crazy how all these comics I used to love in high school are being turned into movies, with things like Sin City, Ghost World and American Splendor hitting the big screen and not being terrible to boot. Hopefully the Avengers movie that’s being worked on won’t be terrible as I was and still am a big fan of that book.

Can’t wait to check out RVDTV and from the trailer it looks like a good watch. Keep enjoying the western part of the country and until the day RVD comes back to the WWE (if that day ever comes) I’m done watching any of their products. Take care.

I decided that since I love to watch RAW and HEROES I'm gonna record RAW and watch HEROES every week now!! I am addicted to HEROES. I just wish I was able to watch the prior episodes. I didn't have the channel it was on back then. I'm glad it is on 8 here in G.R.

I visited my cousin today the one from Battle Creek, Steve's big sister Debbie. She was all grown up when you knew Steve. Well I gotta go so talk to ya later.
