I don't know Butchie, instead.

Blog time.

Let’s see… what’s going on? It’s no big surprise that John from Cincinatti was axed from HBO. I still enjoyed watching the episodes, although it was less and less each time. There was no pay off for the patience required to hang with this show. At least the actor that played John got famous enough in time to have his DUI a few days ago make big news.

Check out his profile online and say to yourself “I don’t know Butchie, instead.”

If you haven’t noticed, Weeds season 2 is like 3 weeks in now and you should be watching it on Showtime. Has it been that long since I updated this blog? Also really worth watching is Californication. Great show! Great show.

It’s always a sad day when we have to say goodbye to a favorite show until next season. I guess Entourage deserves a break too. They’ve been delivering solid half-hours for the longest, so relax for a bit, gentlemen. I’ll do the same.

Before we leave the subject of television shows, let me apologize to the entire cast of Arrested Development for not discovering you sooner. While catching up on season one on DVD, this instantly became my favorite sitcom from network tv. Very funny stuff.

I used to like “It’s your Move” when I was a kid. That was Jason Bateman’s spin off from Silver Spoons. Anybody remember that? I guess I should watch for more of his stuff.

Wait…I got one more! Two and a Half Men is hilarious and I’ve missed years of that one, too. I’m Tivo’ing it now and will almost definitely go pick up the DVD’s.

Expect some good changes involving the website in the near future. Some plans to utilize RobVanDam.com and myspace/5starcomics.com are coming together and I’ll have something to show you very soon. Because I’ll be spending so much more time with my sites, that means there is no more time for all you posers. I searched my name recently on Myspace and saw many, many poser sites that will be taken down soon. I appreciate all the dedicated fan sites out there, but the ones that sucker people into thinking they are communicating with me are bogus and deceitful. I’ve read questions to and answers from “me” on those sites and let me say this…not that I’m not flattered, but your words lack the coolness that comes only from RVD, first-hand. Take them down yourselves or we will very soon and I understand that many people feel that there just isn’t enough RVD out there for everyone, but I’ll do what I can on my end.

Click on my pics and check out the new ones I’ve added recently of myself with some other celebs you’ll recognize. I’ll be reading the comments you add, and I’ll be adding more pics as I come across them.

As always, my schedule for the near future will be posted so you can keep up with my whereabouts. There’s not much info there at the moment because, as those close to me know, I have banned myself from traveling. That means I’m home. I’m loving getting to know Los Angeles after “living” here for almost 9 years. I quote “living” because spending a few hours a week to sleep here doesn’t refer to the same “living” as you might think, based from your own circumstances of where and how you live.

That said, look for me in Cali or in Las Vegas, because I love it there and I’ll usually drive it. Speaking of…

On September 20th, come to Hooter’s Hotel and Casino where I’ll be signing autographs, taking pictures and spreading coolness to all. To see who else you’ll meet and other info, click here.

Check out the Skunk Magazine on the shelves right now for a recent RVD interview.

I talked to Maxim magazine about the facts involving wrestlers dying so young. This subject is talked about much, and brought up a lot because it happens so often.

It seems that when it simmers down, there’s new justified reason to talk about it because there goes another wrestler. It’s been that way for a long time. Anyway, I believe this should be in the December issue.

Hey-why is Maxim either packaged in plastic like pornography or put up on the top shelves next to Playboy and Penthouse? I used to think the individual storeowners were just ignorant of the context of the book, but it’s like that almost everywhere. This is ridiculous to me. We don’t even get to see one bare nipple in the whole magazine! National Geographic, medical mags or even Cosmo could be considered more offensive! Bring them down off the top shelf and give them a fair chance to sell, you over-conservative, controlling and delusional thieves of freedom.

Now, I don’t want to sound like I’m spreading hate, so let me elaborate. Why do they put Maxim on the top shelf with average use of language, no nudity and no threat to National Security? I think it’s because we are supposed to believe that appreciating the female body is a sin. While our sexual attraction is our strongest, non-automatic(sleeping, breathing and eating) drive, we’re supposed to believe that loving those gorgeous physics and wanting to see more of them is what? The Devil’s work? Most creatures of Earth have a mission to “hook-up”. It’s the reproductive process and it’s the only way for a species to survive. I’m often accused of being Christian, by people who don’t understand my spirituality, but my views are my own. I’m not knocking anybody’s religion, but as far as that goes, doesn’t every religion knock the beliefs and practices of other religions? I’m speaking from an open mind and don’t mind telling you that if you think that you know 100 percent, for sure, what will happen to you when you die, than you should expect some disagreements. I believe God made women beautiful and wants us to appreciate his work. I say good job God! Make more! Women are used to sell or get attention for everything because a pretty smile provides us with an uplifting, positive energy. When man struggles with conflict over his most natural tendencies, which are harmless, he adds much unneeded stress and actually stands in the way of the big plan. Now, if you think I’m condoning rape, adultery, or lying you better check yourself! If you think I’m burying your religion, you’re missing the message.

Am I wrong, or do many of you readers give yourselves a hard time over wanting to see bobbies? Does it cause problems or do you make it a problem? I’m an ass man myself, but my creator gave me the predisposition to love a beautiful butt and I’m thankful for it!

For the record, I live in faith, not in fear.

I realize I may be offending some people, which is not my intention. My mission is to spread truth as I know it. I don’t hate anybody for thinking different than I do, and I hope to help others feel the same. I will be offering a lot more possibly offensive views in the next several months. I’m not trying to gain a crowd of followers that bite on everything I say. My greatest hopes are that someone will say, ‘hmm… I never thought of it that way”. My mission here is to inspire people to think for themselves as individuals. Decide what you believe based on what makes sense, not just because you’re told to believe it.

Now for some proper education…

This is taken from this week’s MPP Newsletter. Please give it a read.

Help stop DEA obstruction of medical marijuana research

“Would it surprise you to learn that the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is refusing to allow medical marijuana research to move forward — despite a clear recommendation from its own administrative law judge to let such research happen?

If you’re like me, this will be just the latest outrage from the same agency that insists on terrorizing and arresting medical marijuana patients and providers who are complying with state law and their doctors’ advice.

Would you please take one minute to ask your U.S. House member to direct the DEA to permit medical marijuana research to move forward? MPP’s online action center has done all the work for you; just click a few buttons and your letter will be sent.

(Congress provides the DEA with 100% of its funding — all of it taxpayer money — so the DEA is more likely to listen to members of Congress than just about anyone else.)

In February of this year, DEA Administrative Law Judge Mary Bittner recommended that Professor Lyle Craker and the University of Massachusetts be granted a license to grow research-grade marijuana that would be used in FDA- and DEA-approved clinical studies into marijuana’s therapeutic uses, noting that it would be “in the public interest” to do so. But the DEA has ignored her recommendation and continued to block the research.

And earlier this month, during a hearing before the U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security, DEA official Joseph Rannazzisi refused to commit to a timeline for ruling on the University of Massachusetts’ application ... even implying that the DEA might just wait until after a new presidential administration takes power in January 2009!

This is the height of hypocrisy. The DEA continually cites insufficient research as a reason for keeping medical marijuana illegal — while simultaneously blocking the very research that’s needed to persuade the FDA to approve marijuana as a prescription medicine.

How can the DEA hide behind the FDA in arguing against medical marijuana access, and then block any attempt to move marijuana through the FDA approval process?”

Now to conclude what turned out to be the longest RVD blog ever…

Have a beautiful week and remember, it’s always a great day to be breathing!

Peace.

Hey Rob! Yeah, I remember It's your move. I think the guy from Married With Children was on that show too. Yes, Weeds is an good show. I spent a week watching Season 1 & 2 this summer. Can't wait to see you back in the ring.

Hi Rob, i was watching wrestling news to see what was happening and saw the summerslam results. Of course Mr. Push myself HHH won ,but afterwards i read he bow down to the fans. Many people might not thing it's a bi of a deal. I don't know ,but i just felt he was getting ,lets say a page out of your book.you been doing that for a long time ago not only for the audience ,but also cause your magnificent wrestling ability.that fans had to be excited about ,because what you wetre doing in the old ECW was bigger then any wrestler i ever seen, and believe i am a wrestling fan that would check out all the other wrestling shows.Like watching Cactus Jack ,lightning Kid (X-Pac) and the patriot in other wrestling shows. Anyway i just believe that McMahon true bay boy uses anything to get over. He dished talking about hogan ,but you see him ripping his shirt of.Including a day i saw he felt to break the shirt,i enjoyed it.I f there ever was a wrestler that got over by the WWE just making him win even if his wrestling wasn't that great that's the king of pigs.Cena been champ for a long time, but i always believe HHH is is holding wrestlers from getting close to his 10 title reigns. Even though he got like 5 of those titles in a year. I guess he want's fans to get even more bored with Cena being champ ,so then later he could make his move.

Forget future stars it's all about the shame.like i said before Mr. Kennedy was set to be a baby face and probally become world champ. ,but now his a heel again ,might win the tilte to loose it to HHH afterwards. And if they ever asociate him with being son of vince, well instead of becoming the next Stone Cold in his way. He might be more like the next Edge. It's quite simple you wan't a guy to be hated asociate him with Vince or Edge. you want to be popular Ascociate your self to shawn Michaels and be funny ,if michael leaves look for a hot group like New age outlaws, if you want to be World champ and have good stories asociate your self with Stephanie McMahon. If you want to have a memorable match ,try to copy the won with Hell in a Cell of Undertaker and Mankind ,by facing Mankind in an similar match. If your fame fades hang out with a super legend Ashoo Ric Flair. If you want to be cool look for 2 upcoming stars to join you.Randy and Batista. If your fame still weak return with what made you popular.I remember Randy Orton coming to Raw from SmackDown. He was a heel ,but was still being cheered. They put him against a loved legend Hogan then as Edge Friend. there goes your fan base.and if your push it's probally to get the big lost at the end.I believe all this i believe from not being part of a wrestling company i could see things people are to mix up to notice.I say this because you have said that wrestlng fans thing things are a way in the business that they really aren't. i understand that. ,but i wonder if anyone feels the way i do.Of course i hope you have at least a history of watching wrestling for 10 to 15 years. I've been seeing it since i was 4.

Anyway why am i so pasionate about this? 1st wrestling isn't so entertaing without having many new stars who go directly to the top, not like Batista sent to SmackDown being in bad storylines vs crapy opponent's then being squash by them.making him look so lame.and when guys who been in the business still seek to not have other guys be over just so they could be at the top again.Like i felt they were holding you back. and when a wrestler as big as he might be if they keep making him loose the fans start to get disapointed and many may very well stop from cheering him. Guy's like Booker,Kane were before use more as jobers. to the bigger stars. kind of what they tried to do with you in ECW. Wrestling might be what it is ,but if they make you loose fans start seeing you like that,a looser. And it's tough to back up a guy this way. Or if he has be in boring storylines or sent into tagteam division ,just to make room for others.I believe thast inthe WWE the future was guys, like Carlito ,Mr Kennedy or perhaps Jeff Hardy as faces not heels.especially Kennedy. For you I'm still wating for more wins more titles and better stories. And most of all 30 minute matches with top tier opponent's with out no lousy intrusion at the end.OF course in the mainevent. go for it Rob One last ride, not that it has to be a short one. Fight for what you Are the Whole f'n Show.Don't let you be denied, or else spread the word for other wrestlers won't get just one major push later instead of in the present.i wan't to see wrestling be good again like test said. And i want you and guys like test that were denied ,become or continue to reach higher status ,just like when Hogan left to WCW he was reborn Hollywood hogan. Or Austin left to WWF he was rename the ring master, just kidding StoneCold.May the ERA of RVD grow on bigger and greater ,just don't risk your self too much. From Probally your biggest fan J.L-T.V. Take Care Rob hoping for the best.Have a great day Always.Adios Amigo.

Hey Rob,
I just bought all 3 seasons of Arrested Development over the past 2 weeks. Watch one... buy the next. Kind of bummed that there are only 3 seasons though. Why do the good shows have to be cancelled while crap shows seem to thrive?

Jeeze, I'm sorry I called you a Christian. Wow! I never thought of it that way, as being...how should I say… stuffy. ‘Cause that is how a lot of the people I know, who are Christians really are. I do know you are a spiritual person. I go to a Baptist church and if I ever told them of my Asian practices they would freak. I myself am more of a spiritual person than a Christian. I guess I have to say it is the people who are stuffy who gave the name “Christian” a bad name. When I said Christian I totally meant it in a way as being a decent person and was referring to your spirituality. Unfortunately, spiritual people have been given a bad name, too. Possibly, because there are so many types of Spiritualists, same as Christians, so many types of Christians. Maybe I should refer to the fact that you are you and that is what matters. I notice that you are open minded and I like that.

On this earth we are not to judge others and that is another part of you I like. I guess in a lot of ways we have similar views, because if I say I am a Christian, people who know the real me would say, no you ain’t. Even my friends who are half Asian say I am not like the “Typical Christian”. I do believe that Jesus died for me as the ultimate sacrifice of love. He became sin so I could live. But, there are places where I draw the line. I still believe I am not righteous. A lot of Christians believe they are. I am still a screw up otherwise I wouldn't need Jesus. I myself have views of my own. And do believe in miracles. They are not just from biblical times, like most Christians believe. I also believe our spirit "ENERGY" which our insides are made of is able to do other things outside of our bodies besides stay inside a body and not know the freedom of flight. This type of travel is possible and is able to be accomplished. (I know because it is part of my Asian practices) How else could there be life after death.

I believe in soul mates (people who can talk to each other through their thoughts and minds and hearts and are truly meant for each other, people who feel each other’s physical pain) and also life before physical birth. Our energy was created and came from somewhere and when our physical body dies our energy has to go somewhere. My choice is a place where all my tears will be wiped away instead of gnashing of teeth.

Rob, I love reading your blogs and the reason is because your views are very similar to mine.

Religious beliefs have also made people look bad who choose to have more than one wife. Realize this everyone, I am not telling people to go out and get another wife. It is just that in some people’s lives it is better to marry than to burn with passion. What if a person is stuck in a marriage and really has no way out. So instead of committing adultery they choose to marry. Well after saying this, I guess I really am not a Christian, LOL!! I don't know what you would really call me. Please not Mormon. Just call me, Me. :D

My fan site is only a fan site and I am listed at WFAPOM as a fan site. I am glad you are getting all the other fake ones deleted. I promise I will send all the fake ones to WFAPOM for deletion. Unfortunately, some people have thought I was you, but I always clear the air and send them directly to WFAPOM so no other sites will trick them. In my profile I clearly state I am NOT YOU. You are ONE OF A KIND and I know for sure I could never live up to your coolness.

Rob thank you for helping me to realize my true spirituality. Now I really can't call myself a Christian. So I guess I should call myself OTHER. :D

Rock On and thanks for adding my quit smoking program I would rather see people smoking a doob than killing themselves with tobacco. You are right it's always a good day to breathe. And as I say, ”Breathing is not an option.” You gotta breathe to live. So why not choose to smoke something that clears your lungs rather than that which kills them. I am not telling people to start smoking weed. I am just saying this...which my sis told my dad once. “Don't knock it till you try it.” Those were his own words from when we were kids. Unfortunately he now has Emphysema from years of smoking tobacco. (BTW he smoked weed and loved it!) I myself smoked tobacco for 25 years and it now has caught up with me. I have bronchial asthma. My advice to people who smoke tobacco…don't quit quitting. I am now a NONSMOKER not just an ex-smoker. Medical marijuana for those who have asthma and emphysema and many other needs would be awesome. I am glad to see you fighting for the cause and I don't dare state that on my quit smoking blog. But I am tempted to start another my space for the purposes of revealing the real me to others so they can see the real me the person who really isn't a Christian but “OTHER.” My son is bi sexual and I accept that. My church would never accept that. So we keep it a secret and he chooses to go to a church where he is accepted. I met one of his friends who is gay and found he is a normal human being who has a stronger feminine side. Hey, I look at it this way at least they ain't closet fags like my abusive EX-Husband is. Don't get confused, my profile says I am a guy but as a lot of my bloggers already know I am really a girl this is because of an Xanga site I used to have when I had some creepy teen boy asking personal private intimate questions about me and my significant other. What people do in the bedroom is private.

It also bothers me when people find out you are a little freaky in the bedroom, they look at you like you are nasty. Being freaky keeps things HOT and also keep the other from straying if they enjoy it, too. By freaky I don’t mean gay or whips and chains although if that turns you on as long as you stay in control of actually hurting that person. You know…whatever floats your boat. I’m talking stuff you don’t dare talk about. Which I am not going to talk about cause it would freak people out too much. But I really doubt it would freak you out Rob. :D And that’s what I like about your open mindedness. The more you teach me with your blogs the more positive energy I am receiving.

Well I better post this before I don't have any internet service cause our phone and cable just went out and I lose all I wrote.

Well I’m glad I copied and pasted this to Word just in time the NET just went out and I am finishing this on Word.

Until next time EXTRA KUDOS for this blog!! This helped take a lot of negative energy and throw it out the door!!

Thank You.

Hey RVD. I just wanted to recommend to you a show on HBO called "Flight of the Conchords." I havent loved a show this much since "Arrested Development" and, seeing you like that show so much, I figured you'd like to try this one out. Think "Tenacious D" only less obnoxious and way funnier. Love the blogs. Stay classy.

Well, about the nudity and appreciating the female body stuff...
I'm Wiccan, and in my religion, sex is seen as sacred. Hel-LO, it's how we were created, it gives us pleasure, and suddenly it's a huge sin? Pffft.

Sorry. My sore spot.

To top the list, you don't sound so good today Mr. Ass man.

Well, Mr. Van Dam, I sincerely address you my biggest gratitude for loving beautiful butts. That had made a lot of impact to me, I think, that your perpetual MJ update.

HmmHmm... In this world of modernity, we can seldom notice some conservative minds who say NUDITY is BAD. They might be culturally shocked, for they never did that in their entire lives, so there'll be a notion that viewing such pornographic magazines are defiant in the mores (whoa! Was it profound?).

But sounds unfair to the FATTY ACIDS, isn't it? You didn't include them in the list. I'm pretty sure you offended the cellulites. I hope there'll be next time and I'm gonna tell you about it.

Well, congratulations for posting the longest blog you could ever post. Hope to keep in touch with you soon, and I tell you, NEXT TIME.

This is to sparrow. Rob never mentioned skinny BUTTS he said "beautiful". There is a difference. If you will notice Rob is not offending people who have larger BUTTS. I have a larger BUTT and in no way was I offended. It is people who stereotype what is a beautiful BUTT as only the smaller ones that offend. Please reread Rob's blog. I assure you, you will notice he in no way is offending women of the larger size. Rob You ROCK and us larger women thank you for not being offensive. :D

Hey Rob! I am so glad to hear you are doing so well. I have been wondering what you been up to the last several months, and I should have checked your website sooner. Anyway, I absolutely love the way you think. It is more than refreshing to hear you views (which I think I share any of) on spirituality and the importance of thinking for yourself and doing research. It's so sad how the massess take whats said as the gospel.
I miss seeing your face and positive energy on the spotlight, but I'm thrilled to know you are taking time to enjoy the more finer things in life. You deserve it. I can't wait to see what you are going to come up with next. I just know that we are blessed to have someone like you who really gets "it" out there in a position to make a difference. I know we can all make a difference, but you have the support and reputation to get backing and that is very exciting!!!
Your blog is so cool. The last time I checked the website it was only one page. Now it's kick butt! Great job to you and your IT support team. :) Keep it coming. Your fans love to hear your views and philosophy. It makes us love and appreciate who you are (what we actually do know) even more! Namaste!!!

You’re right that America really goes overboard when it comes to sex but we’re not ashamed to push violence in every facet of life, especially the media. While I’m human and enjoy watching or reading violent material here and there (i.e. wrestling), the leniency that is given to violence seems to create a violent society. For some reason we love to see violence on shows like Dexter (which, violence aside, is a really good show) but we won’t show any violent images from the illegal invasion of Iraq. What a fucked up set of principles we have.

As for Maxim being sold in a plastic bag along with Playboy, one reason might be to draw attention to the magazine. If it’s marketed like a smut magazine then it’ll grab people’s attention. Sex sells and if you make it harder to obtain people will just want it more. It’s too bad that those bags will be around long after us and to quote Bill Maher (paraphrased and changed to suit the situation of course), “My grandchildren won’t know anything about me but from the plastic bags that take 1,000 years to biodegrade they’ll know all about where I bought my Maxim.”

Congratulations on finding Arrested Development. I think I posted something here about it before and it is the best sitcom that has ever been on network television, even better than Seinfeld, which is saying a lot. New Curb Your Enthusiasm in a few weeks and I don’t know if you’re a fan but it’s tops on my list and while I know that Larry David’s humor isn’t for everyone, it’s like watching a funnier and less academic Woody Allen.

Hopefully one day we’ll all see the legalization or at least decriminalization of marijuana in the United States. First we need the cotton, paper, and alcohol industries to transition from their current products. Can you imagine how much alcohol sales would drop if grass was made legal or at least non felonious? Also, how much money would local law enforcement offices lose if there were less drunk drivers? A friend of mine just went through a DUI and ended up spending over $5,000 because of it, which multiplied by the amount of drunk drivers out there every night, that’s a large amount of money that isn’t going to the government for reckless decisions. Plus, AA wouldn’t have as many people to attempt to convert to Christianity. Why is it that most AA meetings are held within a hundred yards of liquor stores? I’m not that into conspiracy theories but maybe there’s more here than meets the eye.

Hope the rest of this horribly hot summer treats you well. Enjoy Vegas.

My comment:Wow I guess you got that one correct too. In The NIV Bible John chapter 3:12-13 It states only the Son has been to heaven. and also in Revelations 7 it never states anything about the multitude going to heaven. It does not state where the Throne of God actually is. This makes me think hmmmm... Only God knows where we actually will go, thanks for the input Rob.

But We still must Believe.

Hi Rob, just checking out your site again,i also read my coment , and found many mistakes i hope anyway you understand them. Please forgive me when i go out of my limits, i never liked the way you were used during the middle of your WWE career and at the end.I blame some people for it.The same people who prevent wrestling from becoming like the older days, and stoping other guys from shinning. That just doesn't make it very watchful when you know what's going on. You see guys in storylines that are not going to go anywhere there just used like steping stones for other guys.Or there in a story just for others waiting for the right moment to make there push.

WWE thinks more about just Wrestlemania these days then other PPVs and they kill most og the year having the face struggling to be champ which makes for boring T.V. especially when there poor wrestling and lot's of interrupted finishes, anyway that's my opinion.

You see as a fan that has enjoyed wrestling and found it very fun,but now the stories are wack, guys are held back, and the guys with influence recieve every push in the book.So you could either stop watching, wait on a change,or just continue to see something that seems good ,but ends up the same old thing.

I believe wrestling really misses another major competition. That way Vince doesn't have all the leverage on guys contracts, guys get better pushes ,because they might leave when there contract up.and also you get imidiate impact players. I remember watching wrestling and seeing new guys impact wrestling quickly ,guys like Sid ,Flair,Luger alot had to do was that i never had access to watch the other wrestling channels where i live,so i never knew about these wrestlers, but still if they wrestler some where else itwas still and impact to see new faces make and impact ,just like nwhen WWE guys go to TNA.It's great to see these guys there and shine.

Where do you fit in this equation well you are one of the most entertaining wrestlers ive ever seen. You have dazzle fans with your incredible wrestling moves and style. You also had fun interviews with fonsi and Sabu that were entetaining.I wanted to not only be entertain by you like in ECW i was hoping to see you World Champ since the 1st day you enter the WWE (2nd).you were going vs Kurt Angle and Stone Cold Steve Austin for the World Title. I know it was soon ,but no one would have been surprised if you were champ. Why delay that from happening for so long? Envy. You were great for Wrestling ,but the WWE didn't give the fans what they wanted.Infact no one made it very big that came from WCW or ECW.They shinned somewhere else ,but in the WWE they were push down. Not the WWE guys were any bigger or more deserving there lot's of WWE wrestlers with bad attitude and many who are difforce because of there attitude and some have gone or been suspended, yet they been pushed to be Champs. If there's something i learned that many people lact is that people never admit to be wrong. Many people act like there always have the right reason, that there always correct and mostly never accept being wrong. If everyone things the sameway then they would never get along or acept discipline.that's what's the bible is there for to learn that we're not anyway perfect and be disciplined by it.if you don't accept Gods Discipline and want to do what ever you want. Well ask Adam and Eve what the result will be.It's not that God wanted to kill them,it's that if you don't accept that we need Jehova guide and Discipline and accept it and try to do things are way well the the result is we will make many mistakes and as time passes by will become worst people until we'll loose fact of what's right and what's wrong. There many thing's that are pleasing and entertaing, but it doesn't mean that it's right. One last example Who knows most a Dad or his Son? the Dad of Course, but if the kid doesn't follow his dad discipline well he make lot's of mistakes right.Well in gods eyes we're just kids lacking all the knowledge in the world.Remmember were not the supreme force in live were just a creation. We have lot's of God's gifts and attributes ,but we'll never have his mind or power. the power of Creation. And i'm not talking toys or computer's. Jehovah made the universe the planet earth and everything in it.so accept being wrong and changing for the better.to something good everyday, give good to the world. Sorry Rob ,just when out of my way ,but i felt wrong if i didn't. So Rob hope you too see you soon, because your fun to watch especially when you don't have any Bars from preventing you to entertain the only way you can, One of a kind Style.and Rob still waiting on your plans i hope it's only a delayed and your plans havn't fall apart for some reason.Well Rob,Take care. From Probally your biggest fan J.L.-T.V. bye.

Hey Rob... I'm a bit of religious guy myself. I have very strong beliefs... on which I would have expanded upon if my cat Jake weren't attacking the flashing cursor right now...as far as being offended? Hell no! The only thing I find annoying (yet still not offensive) is when people refuse to even contemplate the biggest question in existence.

I don't believe in hell (it'd be a crappy-ass God to punish eternally wouldn't it)...I don't believe in the Trinity or going to a church either...I think you have some pretty positive views to be honest. I can appreciate an open mind...(and a good judge of TV! - HEROES IN 21 DAYS!) I'll give weeds a try...I download everything cos I live in the UK and it's better to be on a delay of a few hours than a few months...

With your style...you need TNA...I'm sure you can work less hours for a pretty sweet deal, like I think Angle managed to swing...

Peace bro!

Hello Rob,
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy reading what you have to say in your blogs!! You are funny and often outspoken. Shyness is not an issue for you,is it??
I don't always agree with your views, but I am open to reading about them. I am a devout christian and I love watching wrestling!! I get asked about that alot. Speaking about that,I have no problem appreciating the male form!!:D Particularly yours!!:D
You are one very sexy, handsome, intelligent, and very talented man!! I love your dimples and your beautiful eyes!! I have had the honor and priveledge of seeing you in person three times.
The last being when ecw toured recently, and came to my hometown of Pueblo,Co. I know the advertising was all messed up, and there wasn't quite as good a turnout as there could've been. But I had front row seats and that night will always be special to me!! Thank you!! Someone told me that you were disappointed with the turn out and I don't blame you;because I was too!!
I miss not seeing you on t.v. each week, but I don't blame you for leaving after Vince messed things up by becoming ecw champ. (GAG ME!)
So, I wish you well in whatever you are up to these days. And if,in the future you decide to wrestle for someone else, I will gladly follow you. Thank you for always being so good to your fans and for always entertaining me!! I love you! You are my #1!!

Oh, Arrested Development. Too smart for many people, and that's kind of sad.
And I concur on the issue with Maxim.
It never fails to piss me off that I can carry a handgun and with the flick of a finger and one bad judgement call kill someone, but I can't take my top off at the beach without getting a lecture from a passerby or a cop.

Rob, so do you bust a gut laughing at what people are typing in here? We got one guy who rambles on and on incoherently almost everyday, and a bunch of big girls with fat asses who are happy because you didn’t specifically say you don’t like “fat” asses. Last blog, somebody commented on how “hot” your wife was. God, sometimes it gets a tad scary in here. Yet, I keep reading. It really does pass the time when I’m at work. I must be a glutton for punishment– I don’t mean that kind of punishment – I don’t want to turn the Asian girl on – you know, the one masquerading as a man with the big ass who likes it kinky. Anyway, you have to be laughing your ass off about some of these people. I am. In all seriousness, it does truly sadden me that wrestling fans come off looking the way we do – ignorant, rednecks, toothless etc………………………Island

Just want to say I appreciated your long and thoughtful blog. I think you succeeded in your goal to make people think differently about issues. On medical marijuana, from what I've observed, no politician will touch it because the person who is running against them will accuse them of being a druggie. You're correct about the recommendation and information being so obvious, but the lawmakers wont do anything until their is a "tipping point" where the fear of drugs doesn't match the potential benefit to both the majority of the public and majority of state governments and Congress...I think the stem cell research provides a good comparison.

Thanks for making me think Rob! Hope you get to read this.

Rob,

This is to the annonymous Jerk on your site at http://www.robvandam.com...
FYI...RVD don't diss his fans who have input on his blogs. I am not asian. I am not as fat as you may think I am and who really cares what you think. You are too chicken to say who you are by posting as annonymous and I have changed my profile since then, because I have had no more problems from the teen with the overactive hormones.

I may not have a perfect body but even if I did you would never be in my league. As for kinky we all have our fun things we like to do. As for you you are probably a real snore in the bedroom! And would never turn me on!

BTW, I am neither a redneck nor toothless. I also happen to be one of RVD's friends on his myspace blog are you?? No, I didn't think so that's why you posted as annonymous. LOL!! I have almost 500 friends. How many do you have?? Probably not a whole lot with a personality like that.

I have had 4 children and am currently in an awesome weightloss program and have had much success. And if I know RVD the way I do, which I do, he will be laughing at all your negative energy you are posting on this page. So in conclusion...TALK TO THE HAND!! You are blocking my chi. And Rob does know what that means.

P.S. I'm glad you enjoy my fansites, Rob you deserve it!!

Teyegrrlily – Do you know what you sound like? A fat girl with no real friends who has to have a sex complex in order to compensate for a fat ass. What do your kids think about their “freaky” mother? I bet they’re proud of all the things you say on your “my space” page and the things you post on this blog. Good luck with your 500 imaginary friends. RVD – sorry I offended your best friend, I had no idea. I may have posted as anonymous, but I left my email address. I'm no coward, so feel free to email me. Please realize though, that I’m not interested in how fat your ass used to be or what you like in the bedroom. Good luck with your weight-loss plan, fatty…….ChicagoIsland@rock.com

First of all you will never get my email address. Second You don't know me. Third You are rude and I have read that I am not the only one on here who thinks so. Fourth go to http:www.myspace.com/ecworiginalspace and check out all my "imaginary friends" I also have way plenty other than on the computer. My son is just as freaky as me and I am proud of that and him he is BI Sexual. Fifth You were the one who thought you may turn me on...LOL!!! never gonna happen. Sixth my man loves my fat ass... more cushion for the pushin'. I probably have more sex than you ever will have or had. Seventh only losers give out their email to people they don't know. Eighth Get back to work you are stealing company time and money. Most of us Wrestling fans actually have a life and choose to cheer our favs on. So in conclusion... Rob I appologize for this man's rudeness toward your fans including jaylteavi who enjoys your site as much as I. And to all who love to talk to you day after day KUDOS to you!! Your site ROCKS and that is why people enjoy going to it so much!! I hope he decides his rudeness is a lost cause and he actually needs to meditate and draw in some positive energy instead of soooo much negative.

Hey Sparrow no prob. I just figured it was an over sight. It happens to us all.

And if you're refering to his brain injury from all the flying headbutts. I believe it... My neice was hit by a car at one time and since then has never been the same. She is constantly thinking about suicide and has attempted more than once. She has had brain surgery also to stop the seizures she was having every day. She has a person who takes care of her finances which was ordered by the court and may have to be put in a group home. Benoit hit the mat many times and if anyone has seen a ring put together what lies underneath is wood and not very cushiony...OUCH!!

To. ChicagoIslandrock kisser,(just saw your comment now)people shouldn,t be talking about people in this site, the only one who could do this is Mr. R.V.D if someone starts criticizing an other person for any reason or none. That person will start to defend himself or herself and all will have in hear are disccusions, and that's a fact and thats not the purpuse of this site. So i thing you should read your shit before you summit your crap, and stop kissing R.V.D ass.

Making yourself look like your with him and everyone else an lower class. Some people make mistakes writing here, some are just younger people that probally don't know any better, and there many kind of other people, but what you did was lacking respect and you have no right here. if you want to addvertise your silly site go somewhere else ,because me an many other's only want to here from R.V.D. I have know problem with saying it because that's True it's dam True ,not only do you kiss ass ,but your a ,fake a fraud and someone who refuses to see who he really is.me I'm real , i have no problem at all saying it, i speak , wrtie from the heart, and i try to respect other's. I go in an open challenge ,no scripts no nothing. Right out of my sleep and prove who i am.face to Face no bullshit , straight edge like the new ECW champ. Identify your self so R.V.D. could banned you stupid name for life hear, and see what you created now wasting R.V.D site. So next time identify your self before you talk trash cause i got better thing's to do i rather let R.V.D handle this. I hope he does ,because i only wan't to right to him my favorite wrestler. Peace out to you.

To Mr. Rob Van Dam my apologies.

Hi Rob, It's me It's me it's JAYLTEAVI. Rob so happy to be back in this site, I told you i was moving well i'm done moving, but i'm back to my favorite site, It's not like i've been away for too long, but with the news i just seen here, it seems that way.I guess someone doesn't know about respect someone act's like a child. Of course i read your fan's comment's i said from the beginning i enjoy fan's that i have one thing in common with and that's everyone favorite wrestler and el mio. R.V.D

Rob, i read a long time ago that you know spanish so you know what i mean,right.1st of all Rob you should keep order here and probally have everyone sign in or something to exclude those who you simply can't have around. Not that you wan't to ,but that you have to.Including myself ,but i hope some others or just one more fellow get's out with me.

Have to say i was in a hurry to write here that i didn't get to read everyone comment's here, i read some ,but just couldn't finish because it only made me more urging to write, but i'll finish after here.Rob, Have you ever heard in school a kid hang out with a girl for any reason and another guy yells silly, is that your girl friend? that's the guy always in movies to be the idiot the one who yells that out in a nerdy way. Well i found the nerd.I heard someone else wrote here that's there was a war going on here. But i believe a person has a right to defend he or her self. The person that iniciates the feud should be the only one responsible for this so call war. One thing for sure the more the person writes the more the person has shown his true colors, and it's Dark Black Pitch Black like the movie.I feel like checking more carefully other comment i was reading from someone else, but i 'm not in a rush. i have all the time in the world, like the guy said from Monte Cristo. The bad guy who whips Dantes, that's to who i refer to.Any way i could always write more later on or another day, another carrott.that one thanks to Bug's. Of course if God let's me, or just you.well they say action speak louder then word's and that a fact.Of course you can tell when people aren't humble enough a humble person usually accepts being talk back to and many times rather just shout up.You think your something big, News Flash you aren't. That i got from the movie Zoolander,Ben Stiller.just thank got the bible say's that only the humble will live forever.your just the contrary and if you ever change you will most certainly apologies everyone here, but thing is that's take some to actually change and leave there pride behind. thing is ,guys like you will probally never change there heart ,but certainly won't be laughing at the end. Enjoy 80 years of pride or an eternity of humbleness. I dare you, just like Val Kilmer Dared someone in the movie tombstone. In that case only for the guys demise.Anyway you have been Weighed. You have been Measured. And you absolutely have been found wanting. From a Knights Tale.Boy i have fun here. ,but enough from another movie,i guess that's why i'm J.L.-T.V. But's that not why i pick the nickname. Well to you Rob i apologies again,to Teyegrrlily don't waste your time like the movie Walk the line Time are wasted. so i'm happy to be back i waiting still on your big plan's Rob. Hey TNA going 2 hour's think about it.it sure would be exiting. I may be watching cable soon again. What better way then to catch you in a new show with a fresh new start.my opinion ,but you know the reason's. Did the shame interfere in jeff Hardy match with Umaga for the I.C. title ,because that's a smart way to get the fan's in your side too. By helping probally the one of the top 3 most loved wrestlers in the Raw roster.Anyway Rob it's been a pleasure being in this site again. Can't wait to see you back going "Sky High" Froggy Style.Well Roberto once again from probally your biggest fan J.L.-T.V. to The Mr. of all Mr. R.A.S. Catch you later. Over and Out.

So i guess i'll write here more after i have heard or read your comment's.

Rob since you like to talk movies i'll tell you a little about Holloween, but on the other hand i don't know if i'll spoil it for you, incase you want to see it. i really don't recommend scary movies, but since i have seen like all other 8 or 9 of them and my bro gave me a Holloween Tshirt i taught i check it out at least one more time.Well i'll catch you later if nothing goes wrong. To my Brother(J.W.-L.V.) love you man, just in case he reads this.To R.A.S good night to you and all your faithful caring fans, From Probally your biggest fan J.L.-T.V. Rob,
it is great to hear you are relaxing. As for your plans for going back to wrestling. Whether you do or don't I will stick behind you. I am still waiting to hear about your big surprise.

I appologize for appologizing. You know what I mean. Hey, I've been wanting to have marijuana legalized since the 70's. It's just I hated seeing people drag your name through the dirt like you are some kind of criminal. I think the only reason why it was publicized so much was because those stupid cops in OHIO wanted their 15 minutes of fame and who better than THE WHOLE F'N SHOW to gain that from.

I once knew a guy who drank about a half a gallon of vinegar to pass a piss test. Along with the vinegar he drank tons of water. freaky enough he passed. But...LOL!! I think it may have pickled him a little!! :D

I think it is stupid they put weed as one of the drugs on the test at WWE. I myself know weed is all natural and as George Carlin says ya don't puke on your shoes like ya do when you drink alcohol. I myself would rather be in a car with some one who has been smokin' mary jane than drinking. In fact I have rode with both and I felt alot safer with the toker than the drunk. Well anywayzzzz...RELAX as much as you can. I hope to see you post soon.

Mr RVD

You know, i'm from Mexico City, and i think you are THE BEST OF THE BEST, you are one of the best wrestlers i have ever seen, i admire you and i respect you, and i have to tell you something, if you go to TNA Wrestling, the mexican fans will not see you in action, because TNA isnt transmitted on TV here in Mexico, but also we think that the WWE isnt giving you the oppotunities you deserve, like a WORLD TITTLE SHOT, so, we think if you go to TNA, maybe we will not see you, but we will know that in TNA you will be the threatened like the GREAT superstar you are, so, you have to know that your mexican fans will support you in anything you consider correct.

If you have a friend that speaks spanish ask him to traduce this:

The firewall seems o.k ,but the window to access internet options doesn't appear ,not even by accesing tools on the web page.

Well that's that's i hope i only get that problem in that site (BTW).I guess if you ever talk there again i'll have to listen to it live to know what you got to say. Now that i think about it, if your able to and want too. I think it'll be great for you to inform us here when or where you will have a Radio Apearence so we or just me (kidding) don't miss it.I found out in another site a little to late. Now i don't know what you said especially any big details. I also enjoy your opinions on WWE, TNA and what you like and dislike from both shows. With all respect are your future plans still on ,because it seems like they have delayed or you still have things to work out trew.

I heard people,or read people here talk about standing by you if you decide to retire and not wrestle again, something like that.So i ask myself was there something i missed in the radio talk show?
I can't imagine you retiring. It'll be a big shocker for me.You make the decision you have to make, but that doesn't mean fans here and all around the world won't be sadden to not see you back in action. You could be seen in movies or whatever, but i still believe you have alot to offer and you can still ad greater chapter to your already great lagacy as a Wrestling performer. I still believe you'll come back to wrestling, but Dam, Van Dam it's seems so long. (sounds funny don't you think). I used to love basketball back in those glory days from the Chicago Bulls, but after Jordan Retire it hasn't been the same. For me you retiring from Wrestling will cause a bigger effect now for me, at least jordan was getting old for BasketBall and won 6 Championships. So you still got at least 4 more to go.Please don't win 10 i'm afraid you might turn out to be like other scrappy 10 times world champions. Don't ever invite a guy like that to chill out with R.V.D. it'll be a true shame if you know what i mean.Well Rob thanks for having me here.I'll still try to find out what you said, it's always interesting to here what you have to say.And one more thing isn't it odd that after Benoit died, now the WWE stats suspending dozen of wrestlers,i wonder it's that why the shame looks so weak? Orton was skinny when he came back from injury ,but got bigger quickly afterwards. I really don't mind what they do unless it effect's there health now or later. But i didn't like the WWE dishing Benoit like he was nothing. From one day to another.Does that mean that Vince is a better person than Benoit? You tell me or you don't. Well that's enough.Thank Jehovah for letting us breath!Untill next time , from probally your biggest fan J.L.-T.V. Take care Rob.

Nihao RVD-san,

Just heard the BTR interview. These hosts did a way better job of listening, much more respectful vibe. You, though... If I'm not mistaken... You sounded a tiny bit frustrated which is understandable, all things considered. Clearly you're eager to move on and be associated with more than just wrestling but the secret projects you're involved with are taking perhaps a little longer than originally expected. No worries. I'm sure they'll be worth the wait. Better to take it slow, get stuff done right than to rush and have to backtrack later.

What you had to say about the state of the WWE wasn't overly surprising but still kinda sad. If they're not even listening to the respected talent then it's not likely that they'll start listening to fans anytime soon either. Definitely puts some additional question marks on the sustainability of that company.

In the two interviews I've heard, there's something that hasn't been asked. I realize that under the circumstances, maybe it's just too early to tell. Still. I'm curious. RVD-san... If the company survives... Do you expect - or care - to be inducted into the WWE hall of fame?

Sorry to hear of Justin’s situation, that's kind of a bummer. Hope his elbow can heal without too much agony. Maybe he's meant to take a different direction in life, if only for now. *shrugs*

Glad that you've finally gotten the chance to relax and get acquainted with your current hometown. I'm sure there's way more to Los Angeles than we ever hear about, both good and bad. Have fun exploring the concrete jungle.

Wow. Never expected this to come up in discussion. Guess my past work experiences have taught me a few things after all. Yay, my life has relevance. *laughs*

About magazines: there are people called vendors who work directly for the supplier - the parent company of the product - not for the store. Based on my own experience with the retail industry... The company that owns the actual store, they go to a supplier - like Pepsi, for example - and say "we'll give you this section of this aisle for your product." And if the Pepsi company agrees to that, they send down people to stock the actual shelves. Those people are the vendors and they get to decide what flavors should be put where and whether it's available as a two-liter bottle or a six pack of cans, etc. The people who are employed strictly for the store... Even the store managers... If it's a vendor product, they don't touch the stuff. Literally. They don't stock it, they don't order it, they can't design special displays of it anywhere - they can make suggestions to the supplier and that's it. The vendor does the rest.

I tell you all this so that you'll understand what I mean when I say that in most retail stores that I've seen, all the magazines are done by vendors. That's WHY the placement tends to be so uniform even in different stores.

So the company that publishes Maxim, they must be telling their people to wrap it and put it on the top shelf. Why exactly they put it on the top shelf, I don't know. They must have statistical evidence showing that it sells better when they place it there. *shrug* I've heard that really, the top shelf is almost a mark on honor. Especially if other magazines are layered in front of it because that means that the publisher might be counting on the titles in back to help sell the stuff in front.

Oh and the reasons for wrapping magazines are as follows: 1) to encourage people who want to read the thing to actually buy it, as opposed to standing around in the store 'browsing'. 2) to create extra interest in adults, who've been brainwashed to believe that wrapped magazines = smut and controversy. 3) to increase interest among kids, who've been brainwashed to think that wrapped magazine = free exclusive trading card or other such crud.

You'd be amazed - and perhaps a smidge dismayed - to realize just how much merchandise is stocked exclusively by vendors and how much 'store psychology' goes into specific product placement. I mean any company that claims to be 50 years old... What they're really telling you is that they have 50 years worth of sales research.

*laughs* Nah. Sex is too profitable and too global a market appeal for any sensible company to ignore. It's an interesting way to look at the situation but I doubt very much that Maxim is placed where it is for that reason alone.

For the record though, I'll cherish the 'delusional thieves of freedom' remark anyway. Because that is, unfortunately, a comically accurate description of most the retail store managers I've encountered.

As for religion... Meh. Religion is a social creature, a group activity, it can't exist without at least a small measure of public influence. All religions(and most governments...) on Earth have that much in common. So it's hardly a surprise that some of the better known churches - Christianity being near the top of that list - have a long and fairly well documented history of being freakishly protective of their own authority. Just about anybody or anything with a decent amount of social influence can get written off as 'evil' if it is viewed as rivaling, threatening and/or undermining the impact of the church. In my humble opinion, that would be the main reason sex is labeled as 'sinful' instead of 'natural' most the time. (I'm not saying that all sex is healthy, either... But that's a whole separate can of worms.)

Spirituality, thank goodness, is much more individual-centric. So it's not impossible to be both religious and spiritual. Just depends on how much peer pressure/social support a person is comfortable with. A lot of people are content with accepting what they're told instead of doing their own research, asking questions and standing up for their own opinions... Those are the ones who kinda worry me. Them and any religious leader anywhere who commands a private army. Cause harsh as the world can be, that just doesn't seem right. My thoughts, that's all.

Thanks for the MPP report but sorry, I'm not going to send a letter. My congress-people are probably too busy being national disgraces to read their own mail, much less endorse something that is - let's face it - political poison. Every other week, the media seems to report a new massive drug bust of some sort so the negative stereotypes are frequently re-enforced. Eh. For better or worse, the DEA does not span the globe. Progress happens. The research that is illegal in America will likely be conducted elsewhere and for many of us, only then will society be able to begin reaching more definite conclusions in the debate about long-term safety verses short-term benefits.

Glad you've found more shows to make you smile. Hope you've got digital. The industry switch doesn't happen till 2009, I guess but it's probably better to invest before then. Cause I'm sure the prices on digital sets will go haywire when the rest of 'em go blank. Kinda disturbing too, if it's true that they're gonna use all the old analog frequencies for emergency services.

Thanks again for the mantra. Nice bit of inspiration. The more I practice repeating it, the more credible it sounds. No dramatic changes yet but I've needed to learn to be more receptive to hope for a long time and this is nice step towards that.

Hugs to you and yours. May Vegas be good to you. I'll try to check out the new pictures you've added when I get a chance but my computer is slow, so no guarantees. Luck and patience with the removal of the poser sites, that sounds like a headache of a project by itself. Please keep taking care.

Peace.

RVD,
Seriosly you are in the list of the top 5 best wrestlers of all time with Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, and Ric Flair. I love the old ECW and the New ECW sucks. I hope sometime in 2008 you can come back into the ring with WWE or TNA (Which would have a easier travel schedule) I would realy love to see you with TNA.

Great blog Rob, as strong as I oppose legalizing marijuana, I do think FDA should make the research to prove them and people like me right or wrong, at least do it for science's sake.
